Dr. Apollon Constantinides was born and raised in Georgia, and has spent the majority of his years in the Cumming area. He attended Henderson High School in Tucker and completed his undergraduate education at Mercer University in Atlanta. In 1996, Dr. Constantinides graduated from the Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. His father, A.A. Constantinides, Sr., was a renowned Pharmacist and owned chain of seven pharmacies throughout the Atlanta area. In his 27 years of Pharmacy experience, Dr. Constantinides realized his love of Pharmacy when he began working in his father's pharmacy in Atlanta at the age of 12. He worked as a "soda jerk" and stock boy for his dad until he graduated high school and began his college education at Mercer.

After receiving his Doctor of Pharmacy in 1996, Dr. Constantinides opened a new pharmacy for his dad at the North Fulton Hospital Medical Campus. When his father passed some time later, Dr. Constantinides opened Lakeside Pharmacy in August of 2001 in the 1100 Medical Office Building of Northside Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, Georgia. In 2008, concurrent with the expansion of the hospital and campus, Dr. Constantinides opened a new location at Suite 1600 in the 1505 Medical Office Building, where Lakeside Pharmacy is now located.

Dr. Constantinides serves the City of Cumming and surrounding areas with a great passion and zest for his chosen profession. He employs more than 20 people at both pharmacies, a staff that includes several more family members. Thanks to Dr. Constantinides' professionalism and high standard of care for his patients, Lakeside Pharmacy is second to none in customer service and pharmaceutical care.

Dr. Constantinides lives in Cumming with his wife, Christy and their three children.

Q:  What is blooming this time of year that would cause allergies?
A:  Ragweed is the culprit this time of year. Most of the non drowsy over the counter antihistamines like claritin, allegra, or zyrtec work great for that.

Thanks !

Q:  I've bought cars that came with fewer instructions than some of the medications that I've gotten in recent years. Why do they give me all of this stuff with the medicine? Do I really need to read it all?
A:  The most important information will be on the Prescription label. It's a good idea to read the supplemental information if you have time. However, none of the written information should serve as a replacement for a good one-on-one conversation with your Pharmacist. He/she is a wealth of information at your disposal.
